OBJECTIVE
Design an editorial brochure that celebrates the building's rich history while positioning it as a contemporary residence for design-conscious buyers.
CHALLENGE
Zig, a leading Australian architecture firm, was converting a historically significant Budapest property — a 1951 Bauhaus-influenced former plywood factory and national broadcast center — into apartments. The redevelopment was designed to preserve the building's architectural heritage and history. The challenge was to create an editorial brochure that celebrated the property's unique character rather than reducing it to generic real estate marketing, appealing to design-conscious buyers who value both collaboration and solitude.
SOLUTION
To meet that challenge, I designed a logotype and editorial brochure around the concept "Order With an Edge," pairing strict Bauhaus grid discipline with punchy, abstract layout moments. I built the visual system across the cover, color palette, and interior spreads, using the property's photography to ground the design in the building's authentic texture and history. The result is a structured yet unexpectedly dynamic publication that transforms the story of a former radio hub into a compelling vision for its next chapter as a home for Budapest's creative class.
